Each year CSERC coordinates 8-12 volunteer restoration workdays in the Stanislaus National Forest. Our volunteer projects bring together dedicated, environmentally-minded community members with CSERC staff and the Forest Service to repair erosion issues, protect meadows from livestock damage, clean up trash in the forest, restore and revegetate meadows, and maintain trails.
CSERC’s volunteer projects are a great opportunity to get out in the forest and make a difference for the environment, while having fun with a positive and inclusive group. If you haven’t been out to volunteer with CSERC yet, don’t worry, no special skills or experience are needed. CSERC and the Forest Service provide all the training and tools needed for the projects. If you would like to get involved or know someone who might be interested, email Liz Gregg at [email protected] or call our office (209) 586-7440.
