Our photo contest is aimed at raising appreciation for our native wildlife and scenic natural landscapes in wintertime. Cash prizes will be awarded for the photos that best capture the awe-inspiring beauty of our region's scenic natural landscapes and/or local native wildlife in winter.
Between now and March 15th anyone may submit up to 10 photos that they’ve taken to compete for:

First Place $150

Second Place $100

Third Place $50
Photo entries need to be of natural landscapes in our region and/or of wildlife native to our region.
Contest Details and Rules:

Photo entries must be of native species found in our region.

Our region extends from the San Joaquin basin to the crest of the Central Sierra Nevada.

Each entrant is limited to a maximum of 10 photos total.

All photos must be original work, taken by the contestant and owned by the contestant.

When submitting entries, please provide your name, email address, and phone number so that we can contact you if your photo wins.

Please submit photos as a JPEG file with the highest resolution possible.

Previously submitted photos will be disqualified. Only new entries will qualify.

The Contest closes Friday, March 15, 2024.

Winning entries will be announced March 18, 2024.

The winners will be notified using the contact information provided when submitting the photo. If no response is received after 3 business days, a new winner will be selected and the previous winner will forfeit all rights to the prize.

By submitting an entry, contestants grant CSERC the right to use the photo(s) for educational, public outreach, and promotional purposes including posting the photo to CSERC’s website and for use in CSERC’s newsletters, press releases and social media. Contestants retain all commercial rights to the photo.
