Wild places provide challenging but rewarding experiences to people of all ages and any level of outdoor skills.

For the past decade, CSERC has been the Northern Yosemite region's leading advocate for roadless areas. Wild places are essential for the survival of many species. These areas contain a rich diversity of plants and animals that are vulnerable to intensive logging, road building, and development projects.
