CSERC's Wild Wonders photo contest is aimed at raising appreciation for our native wildlife and scenic natural landscapes and to encourage everyone to take time to appreciate the natural beauty of our region.
Cash prizes will be awarded in the Scenic Natural Landscapes category and in the Native Wildlife category for the photos that best exemplify the Wild Wonders of our region.
Between now and April 30th anyone may submit up to 10 photos that they’ve taken to compete for the following prizes in both categories:

First Place $150

Second Place $75
-
Third Place $50
Photo entries need to be of natural landscapes in our region and/or of wildlife native to our region.
Contest Details and Rules:

Photo entries must be of native species found in our region or of landscapes within our region.

Our region extends from the San Joaquin basin to the crest of the Central Sierra Nevada.

Each entrant is limited to a maximum of 10 photos total.

All photos must be original work, taken by the contestant and owned by the contestant. Photos cannot be enhanced (photoshopped).

When submitting entries, please provide your name, email address, and phone number so that we can contact you if your photo wins.

Please submit photos as a JPEG file with the highest resolution possible.

Previously submitted photos will be disqualified. Only new entries will qualify.

The Contest closes Wednesday, April 30th, 2025.

Winning entries will be announced in early May by contacting the winning photographers and revealing the winning photos on CSERC's website.

The winners will be notified using the contact information provided when submitting the photo. If no response is received after 3 business days, a new winner will be selected and the previous winner will forfeit all rights to the prize.

By submitting an entry, contestants grant CSERC the right to use the photo(s) for educational, public outreach, and promotional purposes including posting the photo to CSERC’s website and for use in CSERC’s newsletters, press releases, and social media. Contestants retain all commercial rights to the photo.
