Growing up on California's Central Coast, Rebecca developed a passion for the outdoors at a young age, hiking in the Coastal Range around Santa Barbara. As she continued her education, field classes in the Sierra Nevada steered her in the direction of conservation, while her sense of adventure guided her towards the Peace Corps in Honduras and the Dominican Republic where she became fluent in Spanish.
After moving to Tuolumne County, her time outdoors naturally led her to taking advantage of the excellent recreation opportunities our region offers
. She became an avid climber and backpacker
, and enjoys seeking out the excellent swimming holes in our region's rivers
as well as reading environmental literature.
As our Planning Specialist, Rebecca will take on many key tasks such as reviewing environmental planning documents, writing and providing comments for CSERC, and testifying at meetings
. She'll also be helping with our wide range of field work. We look forward to the strength, insight, and leadership that Rebecca will add to CSERC's efforts.
